A decision-making performance measures an individual’s ability to make effective decisions and provides data points that help assess their decision-making skills. The test can identify strengths and areas for improvement, allowing individuals to tailor their learning and development efforts.  The performance levels provide the learner with the best starting point to begin learning to make better decisions. The performance test consists of the following information:

  1. Data Points: The self-evaluation measures various aspects of decision-making, including quality of life improvement, goal achievement, stress reduction, productivity boost, risk management, and outcome success rate.
  1. Levels of Performance: The test categorizes individuals into different levels based on their decision-making aptitude:
  • Daily Challenged: Individuals who struggle with basic daily decisions and experience high levels of anxiety and frustration.
  • Daily Decider: Individuals who manage daily decisions but struggle with complex decisions and specific categories.
  • Specific Performance: Individuals who are generally proficient in decision-making but may struggle in specific areas.
  • High Performance: Individuals who excel in decision-making, enjoy challenges, and are eager to be more involved.
  1. Focus of Learning: Depending on the performance level results, individuals may focus on different aspects of learning to improve their decision-making abilities. This can include minimizing time and cost, increasing the number of decisions made, and supporting others through decision-making.

Knowing where ones stand in relation to performance goals is a powerful motivator for change. Even if it is not where we want to be, having a clear understanding of where we are in relation to the goal establishes the foundation of a successful change effort.
